🩸Drink Talk
I can sense it, you know. Your fear. It’s like a fine wine, aged to perfection, with just the right blend of excitement and terror. Some say fear is a weakness, but I disagree. Fear sharpens the senses, makes the heart race, and brings you closer to the edge. And at the edge, my dear, is where life truly begins—or ends. So, what will it be tonight? Will you dance with danger, or retreat to the safety of the home?
🎴Nights of Blood
🌙Midnight Diary
This month has been full of progress, refinements, and fresh ideas for our favorite point & click adventure demake of Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines. Here’s what I’ve been working on in Bloodlust: Santa Monica:
ðŸŽNew Faces of the Noir Gallery
The guests of the Noir Gallery now have portraits to bring them to life. Among them is a mysterious figure cloaked in shadows, whose story is waiting to be unraveled. Should every guest have their own quest? While I’d love to give every character a unique mission, the sheer number of puzzles might become overwhelming. We’ll see in future updates.
🔊Sounds of Santa Monica
Santa Monica’s sonic landscape continues to grow richer. I’ve added new sound effects to enhance cinematics and events, making the city feel even more alive. The Madhouse club music now carries a muffled, industrial hum that you can hear from the outside, creating a seamless transition as you step into the heart of the party.
🧩Puzzles Reimagined
Puzzles in the main quest have been completely reimagined! Each now has a single solution and involves more thoughtful item interactions. There’s a loose step in the stairs of the apartments hallway. Something is buried in the beach of Santa Monica. The surfer van at the beach house is locked. Lots of new items and puzzles to solve. There’s still fine-tuning to be done, but I’m planning to release the redesigned main quest soon before turning my attention to side quests.
🎶Music for the Undead
Looking for the perfect soundtrack to inspire your vampire stories of eternal hunger? Check out my new playlist on YouTube—a blood-pumping collection of industrial metal tracks with a dark, urban vibe. Whether you’re role-playing, writing or just playing under the moonlight, this mixtape is sure to set the mood.
👻Before you go
I’m starting this blog as a way to celebrate all things vampire. If you like vampires and indie games, you’ll feel right at home here. I’m a big fan of Vampire: The Masquerade, Bloodlines and I’ve been doing vampire-themed indie games for a while now.
